No matter how much the cost for our professional fees may rise in years to come, once your plan is in place, neither yourself or your family will be asked for a penny more for our services. It’s a guarantee that gives you peace of mind.
There are some costs however that we have to pay for on your behalf which we cannot guarantee. These third party costs are referred to as disbursements, which include fees like charges by cemeteries and crematoria, doctors’ fees for cremation certificates, clergy fees, newspaper notices, memorials and catering. The amount of this expenditure is not within our control and may require a further payment at the time of need. However this is very rare.
When you take out our funeral plan, you have the reassurance that your money is safe. You select how you wish to pay for your plan either by a one off payment or monthly and, depending on your choice; your money is paid direct into the Golden Charter Trust.
Your money grows and, when the time comes, we receive the payment, including any growth gained, and we use this money to provide the agreed service. No matter how much costs have risen in the period of taking out the plan until your funeral, your loved ones will not be asked for a penny more for the guaranteed funeral director’s professional services included within your plan. But the funeral director may ask for any shortfall within the third party costs.
Acceptance is guaranteed, regardless of age or state of health.
All Golden Charter funeral plans are fully transferable to any independent funeral director if they are willing to accept the plan should you move home or decide to use the services of another funeral director. There is no charge by Golden Charter for transferring a plan.
